FAQ: How do I know the genetic representation of my ex situ collection?

You can collect tissues for genetic analysis from individuals in the ex situ collection and wild population. This is most accurately done if you sample and include all individuals in both ex situ and wild populations. Usually this is warranted for only those wild populations that are extremely rare in the wild.
